Grow up. SMHS is where everyone grows together

Since 2006 Seoul Music High School has developed and delivered contemporary music education with the dedication and love from our talented teachers. We strive to cultivate students to become talented artists who excel in music and also to be a well-balanced soul
SMHS has become a symbolic school that nurtures the next generation of culture leaders.

Our educational policy is to find various ways to make students grow and constantly challenge innovation.

Now we face the time of the 4th industrial revolution where the role of cultural artists is much more important.

In a new era, we will educate our SMHS students to grow as leaders with competence, creativity and righteous personality in God.

We ask for your love, interest, and prayer for our school.

  • FEB  2017 Addition of the Musical & Theater Department
  • SEP  2016 Commemorating stage for the 10 year anniversary of school foundation by world renowned pianist Hiromi and her trio band
  • NOV  2014 Featured in SBS Special Documentary, "Return to alternative education", as education role model
  • JUL  2014 Change of School Name from Seoul Music School to Seoul Music High School
  • FEB  2013 Introduced in Berklee Today, the official magazine of the Berklee College of Music, as a High school that leads a trend of Korean wave
  • MAR  2011 KBS 2TV, Dream High Special Concert – Featured as the actual school from the Hit Drama “Dream High”l'
  • SEP  2009 Approved by Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education as a high school and accreditation for academic degree
  • DEC  2008 Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education's first alternative school establishment accreditation
  • SEP  2006 Foundation of the school
  • NOV  2005 Established the foundation committee for the Seoul Music Shool (Institute)
